Associate Professor and Deputy Director at the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), Dr. Alcázar-Ortega he has been linked to the Institute for Energy Engineering from 2004 to the present. He has been professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was director of smart energy systems and demand response at the Power Center for Utility Explorations. Moreover, he worked as electrical engineer at the company RWE Deutschland AG.
